Text each trade their items. They open a link with no account or app, and send back photos of finished work for you to check off.
Common problems
Three problems builders run into, and how each one works in Carbide List.
Entering items in the software takes longer than the walkthrough.
The app suggests the trade. Change it with one tap if it is wrong.
Trades won't create an account or download an app to see their list.
Tap Send on a project, pick the trade, and share the message. The link opens just that trade's items with photos.
It's hard to tell what is actually finished.
Nothing is complete until you verify it. Send it back with a reason if it needs more work.
How it works
Each project has role-based links, a shared list of work items, and a review step before an item is complete.
01 · Project access
Each link opens one project with the permissions assigned to that role.
Private crew link
Example
Private homeowner link
Example
The link sets the role.
A crew link opens the Crew view. A homeowner link opens the Homeowner view. Replacing a link ends sessions created from the old link.
No guest account required.
02 · Work items
Add one item at a time, or take several photos and label the drafts later. Add the work note and trade when they are useful.
Grout haze on shower pan
Touch up paint above vanity light
Closet door rubs the jamb
03 · Review
Crew members submit finished work with a note and photo. The Builder verifies it or sends it back with a reason. A homeowner can also say that an item needs more work, but cannot verify completion. Homeowner requests wait for Builder approval before the crew sees them.

No. Crew members and homeowners open a project link in their browser. An account and app download are not required.
Yes. Items, notes, and photos queue on the device and sync when service returns. Conflicting edits are flagged instead of overwritten.
The interface is written in English and Spanish. User-entered text is translated automatically. The source text remains available and is authoritative. The Builder is responsible for reviewing material instructions.
The Builder can export one project at a time. Each export includes a readable English or Spanish PDF and a data package with the available history and stored photos.
Builders sign in with Google or a secure email code. The workspace owner can invite other builders, and every builder sees the same projects. Crew members and homeowners never need an account.
A builder can turn on notifications for homeowner requests, work ready for review, blockers, and reopened work. A crew using a private crew link can turn on notifications for new work and work sent back. On iPhone, add Carbide List to the Home Screen first.
No. Carbide List handles the punch list and closeout record.
Project access pauses. The workspace owner has 30 days to view and export the data. Active project data and photos are then deleted under the retention terms in the Privacy Policy.
Tell us how you run punch and which active project you want to start with.
Access is by invitation while we set up the first workspaces directly.
